The FRACTION final event took place on May 16 in Brussels, Belgium, with 38 participants from both the FRACTION consortium and external stakeholders. The event focused on presenting the latest project results. Nicole Doelker from CSIC delivered the welcome address, followed by presentations on various topics such as the GVL fractionation process, catalytic methods for valorizing fractionation streams, conceptual process design, techno-economic evaluation, lignin utilization, and biocoatings from renewable building blocks. The program also included sessions on green building blocks and technical challenges in transitioning biobased technologies from bench to pilot scale.
The FRACTION project ended in May 2024.
